Event 'Illuminated Círio 2026' in Belém will feature Frejat, Ferris Wheel, and Gamer Arena

Praça Waldemar Henrique in Belém will host the 'Vila Círio Iluminado 2026,' which begins this Monday, the 5th. This third free edition of the event will offer eight days of activities covering music, regional cuisine, crafts, and technological innovations.

A highlight of the program is the participation of Frejat's tour, which will perform Brazilian rock classics on Saturday, the 10th. In addition, the event will feature various well-known artists and bands from the state, including Vingadores do Brega, Arthur Espíndola, Nosso Tom, Warilou, Kim Marques, Suany Batidão, and Markinho Duran.

Among the attractions, there will be the return of the Ferris wheel, standing 37 meters tall, considered the largest mobile structure in Pará. Retired Maria Auxiliadora, 81 years old, shared fond memories of the attraction, mentioning that she and her family enjoyed the programming alongside relatives from Recife (PE).

To engage the younger audience, the Gamer Arena has been introduced, a space entirely dedicated to electronic games. Olívio Rafael, director of Círio Iluminado 2026, emphasized that the Gamer Arena will be a place for connected youth, promising fun, technology, Pará culture, and sustainability for visitors to the square.

Creative economy and gastronomy

The pavilion dedicated to handicrafts will host 100 exhibitors, displaying local products, fashion items, and inclusive painting works. In the food area, 30 gastronomic entrepreneurs will offer characteristic flavors of Pará. Some of these professionals will participate in the event after having gone through the entrepreneurial workshops promoted by the project in August and September.

Additionally, the event incorporates the E+ Recycling project, which links the theme of sustainability with direct benefits for the community.
