A tense situation arose surrounding the suicide of Dipak Lodhi, known as Rasik Dulari Sharan, a disciple of Premānand Mahārāja. On September 25, Dipak committed suicide by jumping from the fourth floor of Guru Kripa Kundhja in Vrindavan. Two surveillance videos were discovered, causing significant resonance. Subsequently, three families began protests in front of Keli Kundh Ashram, demanding the location of their missing relatives. The situation escalated to the point where the ashram administration was forced to promise cooperation in the investigation. The administration also stated that this tragedy deeply saddened Premānand Mahārāja.
As a result of these events, a statement was issued by several prominent spiritual leaders from Mathura. Dinesh Sharma Phalahari, Chairman of the Tribunal for the Protection of Holy Land of Krishna and an Indian figure, reported that Premānand Mahārāja had left Keli Kundh Ashram and moved to Belvan Ashram, located about 20 kilometers away. The reason cited was the division of the ashram into two groups: one consisting of true saints and another consisting of fake saints. These fraudulent mentors are involved in land and real estate business, and according to Sharma, they have seized about 15 ashrams. Premānand Mahārāja is very distressed by this situation, and all the true saints have moved to Belvan with him.
Sadhvi Indulekha from Mathura made a similar assertion. She stated that some antisocial elements are attempting to undermine Premānand Mahārāja's reputation by spreading terror in his name and illegally seizing lands. Due to this deterioration of the situation, Premānand Mahārāja decided to leave everything and go to Belvan. She emphasized that Premānand Mahārāja is currently in great danger, and his safety must be enhanced.
Mahamandaleshwar Radhanand Giri noted that something happened that caused Premānand Mahārāja to leave the ashram and begin living across the Yamuna River. He added that virtuous saints continue to worship and practice asceticism with Premānand Mahārāja. Meanwhile, those who remained in Vrindavan are sowing panic. These people do not consider people human and threaten them. Radhanand Giri called for a CBI investigation into those who are trying to tarnish the great saint, calling them unwelcome guests.
