Wynn Al Marjan in Ras Al Khaimah plans construction of a 98-berth superyacht marina

Plans have been developed for the construction of a marina capable of accommodating 98 yachts on the artificial archipelago of Wynn Al Marjan, located off the coast of Ras Al Khaimah.

This Wynn Marina will be part of the larger Wynn resort, serving as both a coastal facility and an entrance to the rest of the island. Max Tappeyner, President of Wynn Al Marjan, stated that the Wynn Marina will serve as a direct extension of the Wynn Al Marjan island.

The marina will be able to accommodate super- and mega-yachts up to 85 meters long, exceeding the capacity of any similar pier attached to a hotel in the UAE. The resort noted that this will provide a 'new type of coastal experience,' allowing arrivals by sea to connect directly with the resort.

Harbor management will be carried out by IGY Marinas, based in Fort Lauderdale. Among the features of the Wynn Marina are a distinctive circular harbor, several residential units, terraces, restaurants, and walking areas, against which the yachts, coastal activities, and sunsets over the Arabian Gulf will be set.

In the center of the marina, at Capitainerie, there will be an arrival point and an operational center for visiting yachts. Guests will be able to check in on board and gain direct access to resort facilities, including accommodation, dining, entertainment, wellness services, and shops.

Tappeyner emphasized: 'Guests will be able to move seamlessly between life on the water and experiences across the entire resort, from dining and entertainment to accommodation and coastal amenities.' He added that it is 'not just a place to moor a yacht, but an integral part of the destination.'

Wynn Al Marjan is a highly anticipated attraction for the emirate, which is scheduled to become the site of the region's first integrated casino resort next year. Although the opening was initially planned for March 2027, the date was postponed to September of the same year due to supply chain issues caused by the regional war.

The development, originally budgeted at $5.1 billion, has increased its budget by $600 million. Earlier this month, two new seven-bedroom royal apartments at the top of the 70-story resort were announced: the Mayfair and Paris apartments. A 550-meter stretch of coastline, protected by a lagoon and an outer reef, was also completed, marking the first project in coastal experience.
