Salman Khan is preparing to present his war drama 'Matribhumi Me War Rest In Peace,' which initially faced difficulties in obtaining government approval due to its plot based on the war between India and China, which raised objections from the Ministry of Defence. However, the path for the film's release is now clear.
A few days ago, the Ministry of Defence and Information & Broadcasting (I&B) issued permission for the release of a new version of the film, allowing it to be screened in theaters. The film is currently being prepared for screening by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). According to HT, the CBFC is expected to issue the certificate for the film this week.
Sources indicate that the CBFC will review the film this week, and no other changes have been made to it. Since Salman Khan's films are generally considered family entertainment, it is anticipated that the Censor Board will not raise serious objections. After receiving clearance from the CBFC, the creators plan to release the film during Diwali or Christmas.
Nevertheless, neither Salman Khan nor director Aapurv Lahiya has officially confirmed the release date, keeping the premiere timeline intriguing. This news is significant for Salman's fans who have been eagerly awaiting this project. Following the failure of the film 'Siknder' last year, Salman Khan is seeking a strong comeback, and it will be interesting to see if 'Matribhumi' brings him success.
Currently, the release dates for Diwali and Christmas are fully booked. For Diwali, Ranbir Kapoor is presenting the first part of 'Ramayana,' which is being shot with a budget of 4000 crore, and for Christmas, Shah Rukh Khan will release his action thriller 'King.' Both these films are among the most anticipated projects in Bollywood. According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, Salman is considering the period around Diwali. November 13 is considered a suitable date for the release of this war drama during the festive season. The final release date remains to be determined.
