Video footage demonstrates people pushing to get into the school to avoid voting queues. The scene is set at the largest polling station in Baía, where over 16 thousand voters are registered, and long lines were observed on the street even before the gates opened.
The school gates opened at 8 o'clock, according to the schedule. Despite the unrest, no voters were injured.
The first round of the 2026 elections will take place this Sunday. This year, voters will vote for state deputies, federal deputies, two senators, the governor, and the president of the Republic.
To participate in the voting, it is important to check the location in advance, prepare an identification document, and know the order of positions at the ballot box. The publication g1 has prepared a guide with basic recommendations for voters.
