Iranian forward Allahjar Sajjadmanesh is predicted to be sidelined for about four weeks after sustaining a hamstring muscle injury. Because of this, he will miss nine upcoming matches for Lech Poznan.
The thigh biceps injury was sustained by Sajjadmanesh during one of Lech Poznan's recent training sessions. Head coach Nils Frederiksen confirmed the issue following a friendly match on Saturday which ended in a 2-2 draw against Energa Cottbus.
In an interview with the club's television channel, Frederiksen stated: 'Allahjar's situation is serious. He is out due to a hamstring injury. We expect him to be out for approximately four weeks, and after that, he should return to the team. It's not good news, but it's football.'
The injury occurred at a difficult time for Lech Poznan as the team prepares for a demanding period of the season. If Sajjadmanesh recovers within the planned timeframe, he will miss nine consecutive matches in both national and European competitions.
Among these games are three UEFA Europa League matches against Bayer Leverkusen, Sunderland, and Benfica. Additionally, he is expected to miss Ekstraklasa matches against Śląsk Wrocław, Korona Kielce, Legia Warsaw, Wisła Kraków, and Zagłębie Lubin, as well as the Polish Cup match against Siarka. The official UEFA match list confirms Lech's upcoming fixtures against Leverkusen, Sunderland, and Benfica in the Europa League.
