The Central University of Kashmir has decided to suspend Chinnappan Baskara, the head of the chemistry department. This followed accusations from several female students against him regarding harassment and inviting one of them on a date.
Registrar Nisar Ahmad Mir stated that he spoke with the protesting students. He assured them that any instances of such language use should be immediately reported to the university administration.
