Technical specialist states that a salary of 12 lakh rupees feels like 4 lakh rupees due to the high cost of living in Bangalore

Bangalore is known as India's Silicon Valley, but life there turns out to be challenging. Despite receiving a good salary, the costs of living and food in Bangalore make one think. A video shared on social media by technical specialist Shivank Goel, sharing his opinion on salaries, went viral and sparked active discussions.

Goel, who works as a product manager and content creator at an MNC, noted that an annual income of 12 lakh rupees in Bangalore feels the same as an annual salary of 4 lakh rupees. In his video, he advised those whose salary is less than 1 lakh rupees not to move to Bangalore. He emphasized that the concept of 'enjoyment' here is closely linked to excessive spending and cafe culture.

He added that attending any event requires buying tickets, and any hobby activity requires payment. Shivank Goel also pointed out that the city has become so commercialized that leaving home leads to large bills. Furthermore, transportation costs are very high.

According to Goel, it has become common practice to put down a deposit of 2 lakh rupees. Even a trip of 5 kilometers can cost 600 rupees. Moreover, one has to spend time in traffic jams that can last an hour. He also noted that even hobbies require money. For example, visiting public places like Cubbon Park requires a long wait.
