In the modern world, many people use various methods to improve their concentration. The company NewraBel has released new headphones designed to enhance focus and provide instant alerts when attention is diverted. These headphones are named Naurable One.
Naurable One is specifically designed for students and researchers. The company claims it is the first headphone of its kind with brain scanning functionality. The device contains 12 electroencephalography (EEG) sensors integrated into felt earcups that perform brain activity scanning.
The price of the Naurable One headphones is 499 US dollars, and sales will begin in America this month. Information regarding launch dates in other countries has not yet been provided.
Through scanning, the headphones can detect moments when the brain is focused and when attention is scattered. Upon detecting distraction, the headphone helps the user immediately regain focus. For example, if a student is reading and then their attention wanders, the headphone will signal, allowing the student to quickly return to studying.
Another feature of Naurable One is the ability to use it during meditation. When the device detects that the user is in a flow state and fully concentrated, it will continue to operate. As soon as the user's attention begins to wander, the headphone will notify them so the process can be resumed.
Furthermore, the company plans to launch a new mobile application that can track eight brain-related metrics. These include brain age, charge, speed, focus, workload, stress, drowsiness, and alpha wave frequency.
The company also announced that users can disable the EEG sensors, allowing the Naurable One headphones to be used as regular headsets. These headphones utilize 40mm beryllium drivers and six microphones.
The headphones support Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and transparency mode. Regarding battery life, the company states that with the EEG sensors enabled, the headphones can operate for up to 12 hours. The company also guarantees that user data will remain confidential and will not be sold to third parties.
