Tarrafa Literária Festival will take place in Santos with free programming for writers, journalists, and philosophers

The 18th edition of Tarrafa Literária is scheduled to take place in Santos, located on the coast of São Paulo, from October 28th to November 1st. The festival will feature entirely free programming, bringing together notable figures from the fields of literature, journalism, philosophy, and psychoanalysis to promote debates and various activities suitable for all age groups.

The event will open on the 28th at the Sesc Santos theater at 7 PM. The opening will feature a presentation by José Miguel Wisnik, who is the tribute for this edition, accompanied by Arthur Nestrovski and Marina Wisnik.

On October 29th, the program begins at 10 AM at Colégio do Carmo with a 'Tarrafinha' dedicated to the youth audience. This activity will be led by Ana de Queiroz, based on the book 'Mademoiselle Enigme,' and mediated by Victor Valente.

Later, at 2:30 PM, the Guarany Theater will host a debate titled 'Wars and Authoritarianism,' featuring João Paulo Charleaux and Zé Godoy, moderated by Gustavo Klein.

At 5 PM, Camila Appel and Natália Timerman will discuss themes such as grief, fiction, and psychoanalysis in the panel 'Writing is Me, the Writer's Place,' moderated by Lindener Pareto. Subsequently, at 7:30 PM, Eliana Alves Cruz and Ricardo Terto will address writing and social consciousness in the panel 'Before the End, the Now,' mediated by Camila Angela.

October 30th brings a special 'Tarrafinha' at 10 AM at the Santos Commercial Association (ACS), which will host journalist Adriana Negreiros, mediated by Zé Luiz Tahan, a bookseller and event originator. At 10:30 AM, the Guarany Theater will have another youth session of 'Mademoiselle Enigme,' with Ana de Queiroz and Victor Valente.

The program continues on the 30th with the 'Tarrafinha' at 1 PM, where Edmilson and Karina Prado will participate, mediated by Bruno Rodrigues. At 2:30 PM, Mar Becker and Ryane Leão will discuss poetry in the panel 'Thirst for Poetry, the Poetic Act,' with Victor Valente as moderator. At 5 PM, Marcia Tiburi and Eugênio Bucci will debate 'The Challenge of Pop: Communication Outside the Academic Field,' with Tati Vasconcellos as moderator. Concluding the day, at 7:30 PM, Filipa Fonseca Silva and Reinaldo Moraes will discuss eroticism in the panel 'Very Pleased: Desire in Romance,' mediated by Matthew Shirts.

On October 31st, at 2:30 PM, Paulliny Tort and Silvana Tavano will participate in the panel 'The Timeless Novel,' with Iarima Redu leading the mediation. At 5 PM, Daniel Furlan and Gustavo Vilela will debate humor, journalism, and football in the panel 'No Coverage Flaws?,' with Cassiano Elek Machado moderating. The day concludes at 7:30 PM, with Andréa Del Fuego and Clóvis de Barros Filho in the debate 'The Birth of Ideas: Repertoire or Inspiration?,' mediated by Gisela Monteiro.

The last day of the festival, November 1st, begins at 2:30 PM with the panel 'The Lives of Others: The Technique of Biographies,' which will bring together Adriana Negreiros and Fernando Morais, with Jorge Oliveira as mediator. At 5 PM, Bethânia Amaro and Carla Madeira will participate in the panel 'A Sea River,' mediated by Ana Lima Cecílio. The festival will conclude in Santos at 7:30 PM, with Felipe Charbel and Rui Couceiro, discussing the relationship between writer and reader in the panel 'The Writer and the Reader, or Is It the Other Way Around?,' mediated by Manuel da Costa Pinto.
