Hyundai announced that it will give a new Hyundai i20 vehicle to the athlete elected as the best player during the 2026 Brazilian Women's Championship final. This prize will be presented at Morumbi immediately after the decisive match between São Paulo and Corinthians, scheduled for Saturday, the 3rd, at 4:30 PM in São Paulo.
This initiative represents the first time in the competition's history that a final player receives an automobile as a reward. The automaker informed that this action marks the beginning of its collaboration with Brazilian women's football.
The i20 model, which was presented in June during the men's World Cup and made available at dealerships in July, is produced in Piracicaba, in the state of São Paulo. It is positioned in the brand's product line between the HB20 and Creta models and is available in six versions, with price ranges varying from R$ 99,990 to R$ 139,990.
The entry-level versions are equipped with a 1.0 naturally aspirated engine, generating up to 80 hp and 10.2 kgfm, coupled with a five-speed manual transmission. The other configurations feature a 1.0 turbo engine, delivering 115 hp and 17.5 kgfm, and use a six-speed automatic transmission.
The match at Morumbi corresponds to the second leg of the final. In the previous confrontation, held last Saturday (the 26th) at Neo Química Arena, São Paulo managed to defeat Corinthians 2-1, overturning the score. Now, São Paulo only needs a draw to win the title.
In the first leg, Gabi Zanotti scored for Corinthians, while Crivelari and Isa Guimarães scored goals for the Tricolors. This result was the first defeat for the Corinthians women's team in their stadium, where the team had accumulated 30 wins and two draws in 32 games.
Both teams participated in the final in 2024, when Corinthians was victorious, being champion of the last four editions of the tournament. Hyundai's sponsorship of women's football began in 2026, established through a three-year agreement with the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).
This sponsorship contract covers the Brazilian Women's Championship, the Women's Copa do Brasil, and the Women's Supercup, events that, combined, are expected to exceed 500 matches during the contract period. Furthermore, the automaker also supports the 2027 Women's World Cup, which will take place in Brazil between June 24 and July 25.
According to the company, these sporting activities are part of its global strategy to use sports as a means to promote inclusion and unity, aligned with its motto 'Progress for Humanity.'
