Jockey Plaza Shopping has received a new immersive entertainment attraction with the arrival of Orion Verso, which features the VR Space Ride, making it the first 9D simulator available in Brazil.
This experience combines elements of virtual reality with physical movements and effects, aiming to intensify the perception of being immersed in the displayed scenarios. The simulator is located on floor L1, in front of access B, and uses virtual reality glasses along with seats that move in sync with the images.
During sessions, visitors can experience various stimuli, such as wind, impact, vibration, heat, cold, water, and G-force. In total, the attraction integrates nine types of sensations to provide a high level of realism.
The design of the simulator goes beyond the limits of traditional virtual reality. While the projections transport the participant to different adventures and environments, the sensory effects replicate what occurs in the virtual world. For example, a change in temperature can be felt through heat or cold, and movements, wind, and vibrations help create the feeling of active participation in the scene.
The technology used is similar to that used in large international amusement parks focused on immersive experiences. The location offers multiple virtual reality options, allowing the customer to choose one or more attractions during their visit.
Michelle Cirqueira, Marketing Manager of Jockey Plaza Shopping, stated that Jockey is already known for introducing novelties and distinct experiences in Curitiba. She added that the goal is to offer leisure options for all age groups, ensuring that the public always has something new to experience at the mall besides shopping activities. Orion Verso was brought to complement this offering with a technological and immersive experience.
Ticket prices are set at R$49 for one attraction, R$75 for two, and R$98 for three. The attraction is recommended for children aged 4 and older and for adults of any age.
