Polina Kudermetova from Uzbekistan has advanced to the third round of the WTA 1000 China Open tournament held in Beijing.
In the second round, the Uzbek tennis player defeated the Danish Clara Tauson with a score of 6-4, 4-6, 6-4. Previously, Tauson was ranked 12th in the WTA rankings and is currently ranked 44th in the world rankings.
Advancing to the third round guarantees Kudermetova at least $61,865 USD in prize money and 65 points in the WTA rankings. Kudermetova's next opponent will be the fourth seed, Mirra Andreeva. This match will take place in the third round of the tournament in Beijing.
