The psychological thriller titled 'Verity,' which is based on the eponymous novel by Colleen Hoover and features actresses Dakota Johnson and Anne Hathaway, premiered this Thursday, the 1st, in cinemas located in Boa Vista.
In addition to this title, five other films were also released in the city's movie theaters. Among them are 'Digger,' 'Fall 2: On the Edge,' 'Galinha Pintadinha - The Movie,' and 'Extermination Protocol.'
The plot of 'Verity' revolves around a mysterious situation that prevents Verity from finishing a highly successful series of books. Because of this, Jeremy asks Lowen to take on the task of completing the narrative. During the development of the project, Lowen finds quite disturbing autobiographical notes. The content of these notes raises questions about Verity's state of health and psychology, in addition to revealing dark confessions about her husband and possible links to the published works.
'Fall 2: On the Edge' presents a significant change from the previous 2022 film, replacing the transmission tower with a mountain. In this new story, two friends are forced to cross a dangerous suspension bridge on Mount Kwan, located in Thailand. After a rockslide, they become trapped on a narrow plank more than 3 thousand meters in altitude, needing to overcome their own fears to survive.
Meanwhile, 'Galinha Pintadinha - The Movie' narrates the main character's journey in the mission to rescue an egg that was swapped for a stork, an event caused by a threatening hawk chick. To reverse this swap, rescue the chick, and return the little hawk to its original family, Galinha Pintadinha must confront her fears and the dangers inherent in the path to the Hawk's cave.
In 'Extermination Protocol,' an elite sniper belonging to the Army is tasked with protecting her daughter after a squad of genetically modified supersoldiers escapes from a secret facility located in the desert. She finds herself alone and armed, engaging in combat against adversaries specifically created to eliminate her.
