The national U-20 team of Uzbekistan confidently defeated Armenia with a score of 5:1 in the first match of the Mirabror Usmonov World Cup Memorial Tournament 2026.
The game took place on October 2 at the National Football Center. Although Uzbekistan initially conceded a goal, the team subsequently scored five goals, securing a four-goal advantage by the end of the match.
Armenia opened the scoring first in the 19th minute. However, the Uzbek team responded in the second half of the first half: Abdulfayz Bobomurodov equalized in the 36th minute, and two minutes later Davron Tulaganov put the hosts ahead.
After the break, Uzbekistan continued to increase its lead. In the 47th minute, Tulaganov scored his second goal, bringing the score to 3:1.
In the final stages of the match, the Uzbek team scored two more goals. In the 76th minute, Kamron Yusupov capitalized on a mistake by the opponent's goalkeeper, making the score 4:1. Two minutes later, Yusupov scored again, sealing the victory with a score of 5:1.
In another match of the tournament, which also took place on October 2, the Russian U-19 team beat Saudi Arabia with a score of 3:1.
