Dia C event offers free services and citizenship actions to 724 people in Aracaju

The union of cooperatives, partners, and volunteers provided free services, educational activities, and citizenship actions for 724 people during the Day of Cooperating, held on August 29th. The event took place at the Sanctuary Square of São Judas Tadeu, also known as Capuchinhos Square, in the city of Aracaju.

Organized by the OCESE System, Dia C focused on promoting actions in the areas of health, education, sustainability, citizenship, and well-being. This event, nationally known as Dia C, is an initiative of Brazilian cooperativism aimed at encouraging cooperatives from various sectors to carry out voluntary activities for community development.

In Sergipe, the mobilization involved the participation of 12 cooperatives, seven partners, and 346 volunteers. During the four hours of programming, which ran from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., participants had access to a variety of free services.

In the health area, procedures such as blood pressure and glucose measurement, advice on oral hygiene, ophthalmological evaluations, rapid tests, and first aid demonstrations were available. Furthermore, the program included financial education, guidance for entrepreneurs, fiscal education, distribution of seedlings, and sustainability initiatives.

The Day of Cooperating also offered activities focused on leisure and family interaction. The agenda included cultural performances, activities for children, dance classes, film screenings, and the distribution of gifts, among other interactive actions at Capuchinhos Square.

For the OCESE System, this movement serves to reinforce the role of cooperativism within society, demonstrating how collaboration between different entities can increase the impact of beneficial community actions. The closing of the event reaffirmed the goal of generating social value through cooperation, highlighting the joint participation of cooperatives, partners, and volunteers in social transformation.
