The adopted document aims to further improve the legal norms regulating labor relations, taking into account the provisions of International Labour Organization conventions.
According to the approved amendments, 'skin color' and 'political views' will be added to the list of grounds on which discrimination is prohibited in employment and employment.
Furthermore, the law establishes the inadmissibility of sexual harassment in the workplace.
These changes are part of Uzbekistan's continuous efforts to develop principles of equality and fairness in the field of labor, prevent discrimination, and consistently implement international labor standards.
During the discussion, senators noted that the new provisions are designed to guarantee equal opportunities for citizens in employment, exclude various forms of discrimination, and strengthen labor rights guarantees. After review, the law was approved by the senators.
