According to data from the National Statistical Committee of Uzbekistan, between January and August 2026, Uzbekistan extracted 24.2 billion cubic meters of natural gas. This figure represents a decrease of 16.3% compared to the same period in 2025, when the volume was 28.9 billion cubic meters.
For comparison, in January-August 2024, gas production reached 30.1 billion cubic meters.
A decrease in gas condensate extraction of 14.8% was also noted. In 2026, this figure amounted to 648,300 tons, which is lower than the level of 760,500 tons recorded in January-August 2025. During the same period in 2024, condensate extraction was 829,400 tons.
Crude oil extraction increased by 2.2%, reaching 425,000 tons, compared to 434,500 tons the previous year. However, in January-August 2024, Uzbekistan produced 485,100 tons of crude oil.
Motor gasoline production grew by 4.6%, increasing from 775,700 tons in January-August 2025 to 811,300 tons in 2026. In the same period in 2024, this volume was 898,300 tons.
Diesel fuel production showed an increase of 6.1%, rising from 786,600 tons to 834,300 tons. In January-August 2024, the volume of diesel fuel production was 711,300 tons.
At the same time, coal extraction decreased by 10.2%, falling from 4.9 million tons in January-August 2025 to 4.4 million tons in 2026. Notably, in the corresponding period of 2024, the same amount of 4.4 million tons of coal was produced.
