The game Invincible VS will receive Angstrom Levy as its next playable character. Quarter Up, a studio belonging to Skybound Entertainment, confirmed that this villain will be released in the game on October 13th, making him the third fighter available through the Season 2 DLC content.
Known as the Master of the Multiverse, Angstrom will become the twenty-first character in the game's roster. Before the official release, players will be able to test the fighter during EVO France, an event taking place this October.
In the context of Invincible VS, Angstrom was designed as a 'zoning' focused character, a combat style aimed at controlling space and hindering opponents' approach. His main functionality lies in creating portals, allowing him to summon and manipulate orbs across the arena. These orbs can be used for both offense and defense, as well as serving as tools to increase mobility or set traps.
This mechanic suggests that the character requires a more refined strategy, demanding that the player plan the battlefield and position portals before initiating attacks. This characteristic directly reflects one of Angstrom's central abilities in the Invincible comics: the capacity to open passages between various dimensions.
In the Invincible narrative, Angstrom Levy suffers an accident that results in the storage of memories from multiple versions of himself, dispersed throughout the multiverse, in his mind. Due to his inability to differentiate his experiences from the memories of his variants, he begins to blame Invincible for the events that occurred, thus developing a strong obsession with revenge. This connection to the multiverse will be integrated into Angstrom's fighting style in Invincible VS, notably through the portal system.
Angstrom Levy will be the third Season 2 DLC and will be accessible starting October 13th. The game Invincible VS can be played on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms. The news about the addition of Angstrom Levy was initially published by Olhar Digital.
