Hyundai Motor India achieved record sales in September, selling 77,916 vehicles

September proved to be an outstanding month for Hyundai Motor India. The company sold a total of 77,916 vehicles this month, marking the highest sales figure in the company's history. These figures include both domestic market sales and exports, with Hyundai's total sales growth reaching 10.8% compared to the same period last year.

Thanks to these results, Hyundai surpassed its previous sales records from July 2026. Domestically, the company sold 57,166 vehicles, while exports reached 20,750 units.

Hyundai Motor India's domestic sales in September reached 57,166 units. In September of the previous year, the company sold 51,547 units, representing an increase of 5,619 vehicles. The year-on-year growth this month was 10.90%, which is particularly significant ahead of the festive season.

Furthermore, in August 2026, the company sold 54,396 units, with monthly domestic sales growing by 2,770 units or 5.09%. Meanwhile, exports amounted to 20,750 units, compared to 18,800 units exported during the same period last year.

In September 2026, exports increased by 1,950 units, representing a growth of 10.37%. Hyundai's total sales rose from 70,347 to 77,916 units. For the quarter from July to September 2026, the company sold 219,072 vehicles. Sales data by Hyundai models has not yet been published.

October is also expected to be an important month for Hyundai, as the company plans to introduce its new mid-size crossover, the Bayon (Hyundai Bayon). Pre-orders for this model are already open. This vehicle will be positioned between the Hyundai Venue and Creta models and may be considered a competitor to the Maruti Vitara.

The company plans for the Hyundai Bayon to combine the large size similar to the Creta with the affordability of a smaller car. There are suggestions that the company might launch this model with a CNG option. If so, it would become Hyundai's first large car with this variant. The launch of this model is scheduled for October 12.
