The Campinas Oncology Center (COC) will offer one hundred free spots for micropigmentation procedures on both eyebrows and areolas for patients undergoing oncological treatment. This initiative is part of the special October Pink program.
The procedures are scheduled for October 5th, operating from 8 am to 5 pm, and will be conducted at the COC headquarters, located at Rua Alberto de Salvo, 311, in the Barão Geraldo district.
To participate, interested individuals must register by calling (19) 3787-3400. During the registration process, it is possible to define both the time slot and the desired procedure type. It is important to note that spots are limited and will be filled according to the order of registration received.
This action is the result of a collaboration between COC, paramedic micropigmenter Ana Savoy, and the project Arte com Paixão. It marks the fourteenth consecutive edition of this event held at COC.
Paramedic micropigmentation consists of a reconstruction technique that shares similarities with tattooing, but in which the ink is applied to the most superficial layer of the skin. The procedure performed on the areola is permanent, although it requires color touch-ups over the years. Micropigmentation applied to eyebrows is considered temporary, allowing all the material to be gradually eliminated by the body.
Ana Savoy, a professional with almost thirty years of experience in paramedic micropigmentation, highlights the positive impact her work has on patients' self-esteem. She states: 'The fantastic thing about this action is that the meeting of these women with micropigmentation has a healing effect. It helps restore confidence, positive self-image. It brings strength to resume life and allows moments of fellowship and comfort for all of us.'
