The office of the Chief Electoral Officer of Goa reported on Thursday that 88 out of 97 voters in the state whose names were not included in the lists due to an alleged issue with ECINet have been reinstated after submitting the duly completed Form 6.
It was also revealed that three of these 97 voters hold a Portuguese passport, and six other voters were outside India.
Residents of Goa born before 1961 in former Portuguese territories, as well as their children and grandchildren, can apply for a Portuguese passport. For this, they must provide identification issued by Portuguese authorities after verification of documents confirming their birth or origin.
