Cadillac plans to expand the 2027 lineup of the Escalade IQ, its largest electric SUV, by introducing a new top-tier edition called Signature Sport. This new configuration focuses on a darker look and differentiated finishes while maintaining the standard equipment list of existing versions. This novelty will also be available for the IQL, the extended wheelbase variant.
According to the portal GM Authority, which specializes in General Motors, the Signature Sport will be positioned above the Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury, and Premium Sport versions. To distinguish itself, it will come from the factory with a black painted roof—an optional item on other versions—and feature courtesy lights that illuminate the ground next to the doors, a feature that on other versions can only be acquired as a dealership accessory.
The most significant aesthetic change lies in the 24-inch alloy wheels, featuring eight spokes, a Dark Android dark finish, as well as gloss black cavities and inserts. This design will be exclusive to the Signature Sport and cannot be requested as an option on other configurations.
Inside, the vehicle will boast an all-black cabin, complemented by Santorini-toned details and Haumea carbon fiber trim, the latter being restricted to the new version. The seats feature Nouveauluxe upholstery with Sky Cool Gray piping and perforated inserts. Although the Premium Luxury and Premium Sport versions already use this upholstery, they do not have this specific color combination.
In addition to these visual features, the Signature Sport shares the same equipment package as the Premium Luxury and Premium Sport versions, essentially functioning as an aesthetic package aimed at those seeking the most unique appearance for the SUV. GM has not yet disclosed the cost of the 2027 Escalade IQ Signature Sport nor confirmed whether the new version will enter production simultaneously with the rest of the line.
For comparison, in the United States, the 2026 Escalade IQ starts at approximately R$ 661 thousand (US$ 127,405) in the Luxury version, while the IQL Premium Sport, the most expensive model in the current lineup, costs starting from R$ 785 thousand (US$ 151,205), according to Cadillac information.
No changes were reported in the mechanical system, according to the Autoblog website. Thus, the model should retain its two electric motors, which generate 689 hp in standard mode and reach 760 hp and 108.5 kgfm of torque in Velocity Max mode, all powered by a 205 kWh battery. The estimated range by Cadillac is up to 748 km for the IQ and 740 km for the IQL.
In the Brazilian market, the sale of the Escalade IQ has not yet been confirmed. Cadillac is scheduled to begin its official operations in the country in the last quarter of this year, with stores planned in São Paulo, Curitiba, and Brasília, opening shortly before the Brazilian Formula 1 stage in November. The launch lineup announced by the brand includes the electric SUVs Optiq, Lyriq, and Vistiq.
