Rio de Janeiro was chosen to be the host city for ABAV Expo over the next six years. Between 2027 and 2032, the largest tourism fair in Latin America will take place continuously in the state capital, as a result of a collaboration between ABAV Nacional and Fecomércio-RJ.
This announcement was made on Wednesday night, the 30th, during a reception event for the fair held at Terraço Notiê, in São Paulo. The start of this new cycle of events is scheduled for September 22 to 24, 2027.
Ana Carolina Medeiros, who holds the position of president of ABAV Nacional, stated that maintaining the headquarters in Rio de Janeiro will allow for extended planning, in addition to strengthening the fair's link with both the destination and the region's tourism sector.
ABAV Expo serves as a meeting point for various tourism professionals, including travel agents, destination representatives, and companies, offering an agenda focused on business, professional development, networking, and industry news. It is worth noting that the 2026 edition is taking place until this Friday, the 2nd, at Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo, with the participation of over 2 thousand brands.
