Motorola started the month of October in Brazil with the launch of the Moto Watch Ultra. This more modern smartwatch from the brand is available for R$ 4,999 and was designed with a focus on features for sports, health monitoring, and connectivity, including the 4G option via eSIM.
The watch maintains the company's collaboration with Polar, a provider of technologies dedicated to sleep tracking, recovery, stress levels, and physical activities. Among the new features, the Running Coach stands out, offering specific guidance for running and walking, and Health Insights, which provides personalized recommendations based on the user's daily data.
The Moto Watch Ultra integrates several tools to assist in tracking exercises and rest periods. It allows users to monitor set goals, the intensity of the exercises performed, and calorie expenditure. For users who engage in outdoor activities, the device also features dual-frequency GPS.
In terms of construction, the smartwatch features a 1.5-inch OLED screen with a brightness capacity of up to 2,700 nits. Its structure is made of stainless steel, measuring 46 mm, and it has an IP68 certification and a 5 ATM pressure resistance rating, making it notably smaller than the Galaxy Watch Ultra.
Compared to models like the Galaxy Watch Ultra and Apple Watch Ultra 4, the Moto Watch Ultra uses the Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 processor, a 2022 chip. This is the first wearable device from Motorola to incorporate the Qira artificial intelligence.
One of the device's major differentiators is its battery autonomy. Motorola guarantees up to 50 hours of use without activating the always-on display function, and 45 hours when this feature is active. Furthermore, the watch can be fully recharged in just 24 hours with only 15 minutes of charging.
The adoption of Wear OS, Google's operating system for smartwatches, enables the installation of applications through the Google Play Store and access to the company's services. The watch is also compatible with popular apps such as Spotify, WhatsApp, and Strava.
Additionally, it supports 4G-LTE connection via eSIM and NFC for contactless payments using Google Wallet. The model also includes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.
