Uzbekistan opened the scoring after an attack down the left flank, with the goal scored by Sherzod Yeshanov. In the 44th minute, Akmal Mozgovoy received a pass in the central zone of the field, bypassed the defenders and the goalkeeper, and then sent the ball into the left corner, increasing the hosts' advantage.
At the beginning of the second half, in the 48th minute, Hussein Norchaev scored the third goal for Uzbekistan with a header. Norchaev repeated his success in the 90th minute, scoring another goal and bringing the score to 4:0.
Syria managed to score the only goal in the third minute of extra time of the second half. As a result, the match ended with a 4:1 victory for Uzbekistan.
