Sergey Fomin and Khumoyun Sultanov from Uzbekistan successfully started in the men's doubles tennis tournament at the 2026 Asian Games in Nagoya, Aichi. They defeated the pair from Chinese Taipei, consisting of Huang Cunhao and Wu Tunlin, who were ranked seventh.
The first set ended with a loss for the Uzbek pair with a score of 4–6. However, Fomin and Sultanov managed to change the course of the match by winning the second set with a score of 6–3.
The outcome of the match was decided in a tie-break match, where the representatives of Uzbekistan played confidently and won with a score of 10–3. Thus, Fomin and Sultanov won the match with a score of 4–6, 6–3, 10–3 and qualified for the second round of the competition.
