Royal Enfield recently introduced the Himalayan 440 model, which has received an extremely positive response from buyers. Due to the large number of applications received, the company had to temporarily halt order acceptance as waiting times increased.
The model was launched in early September. Currently, the waiting period for this motorcycle has reached six months, which led Royal Enfield to decide to suspend bookings. During this period, the company will focus on increasing production volumes.
The Himalayan 440 was launched on September 4th with a price of 2.29 lakh rupees plus export tax. With the release of this model, the company returned to the original Himalayan formula. Many consumers missed the old Himalayan model after the release of the Himalayan 450.
Given public interest, the company released this model with a new 440cc engine. Because the waiting time reached six months, Royal Enfield decided to temporarily stop accepting orders. During this time, the company will pay special attention to ramping up production.
Despite the resumption of order acceptance, the price of the motorcycle will not be increased. However, the company has not yet announced when order acceptance will resume.
The Himalayan 440 is equipped with a 443cc single-cylinder engine that generates 25.4 hp and 34 Nm of torque. It is complemented by a six-speed gearbox. The motorcycle's design is largely similar to the design of the old Himalayan 411.
The motorcycle has a 21-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel. It has a ground clearance of 220 mm and is standardly equipped with dual-channel ABS. The model is available in the color variants Cela Black, Mustang Brown, and Nelong White.
