China's Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) has decided to extend the timelines for two investigations into trade barriers concerning US practices and measures. According to two recent statements from the ministry, the new deadlines have been set until December 27, 2026.
In accordance with China's Law on Foreign Trade and relevant regulations on trade barrier investigations, MOFCOM issued Notices No. 17 and No. 18 of 2026 on March 27. These notices initiated investigations into American practices and measures that violate global industrial and supply chains, as well as those that impede green product trade.
Given the complexity of the cases under review, and guided by Article 32 of China's trade barrier investigation rules, the ministry decided to extend the investigation periods for both cases until December 27, 2026.
