As part of the restructuring promoted by the target group led by Nandan Nilekani on exam reforms, the functions of question preparation, conducting exams, operating testing centers, and ensuring security will be assigned to separate agencies.
This division of responsibilities is a key element of the plan, which also provides for the creation of examination centers in every district and the introduction of a unified calendar for major testing organizations, including NTA, SSC, IBPS, and RRBs.
It is also noted that separating these functions may limit centralized control over the entire process.
