South African DJ and producer Diala Tukzing is preparing to start a new chapter in his career with the release of his ninth solo album, titled 'Ember,' which is scheduled for a global release on October 30, 2026.
This artist, known as one of South Africa's most original sound creators, has established himself in the genres of Afro House, 3-Step, and African electronic music. During an informal Q&A session in the studio, Diala Tukzing shared his thoughts on his continuous development and what he considers the most significant moment in his career at present.
Finding Joy on the Journey and on World Stages
When asked about the most enjoyable aspect of his growth across different stages and during transitions, Diala Tukzing emphasized the excitement associated with international travel and performing before diverse and engaged audiences abroad.
He noted: 'Traveling and having the opportunity to play the music I love... because people overseas dance until the very end of the show.' He added that internationally, the artist can perform his entire material, including tracks from the album and a full set, while the audience remains energetic until the finale.
Tukzing contrasted this experience with local performances, where spectators often have specific preferences or sit in VIP sections. Abroad, he said, the atmosphere is more unified and natural, which gives him complete creative freedom to present his full project directly to the public.
'Ember': A Statement of Endurance and Evolution
This global momentum is closely linked to his upcoming album 'Ember,' which symbolizes the creative fire that never goes out. The album reflects the image of an artist who is constantly moving and expanding his presence across different continents.
The album features an impressive list of collaborators, including well-known figures such as Kabza Da Small, Sino Msolo, Stunna, and Funky Qla. In addition to the album release, Diala Tukzing plans to hold high-energy performances for international audiences as part of upcoming tours in Australia, the Netherlands, and Portugal.
