When his job search was unsuccessful, he decided to prepare for the SSC CGL exam. He successfully passed this exam on his first attempt and secured a job in the central government apparatus in Delhi. He shared his preparation and the entire journey through a post and comments on Reddit.
The young man shared his experience on the social platform Reddit. In his post, he explained that after being unable to secure a job on campus, he started preparing for civil service. According to the information he published, he began preparing for the SSC CGL, dedicating eight to ten months to it. After that, he took the SSC CGL 2025 exam and passed it on the first try.
Upon completion of the selection process, he was offered the position of Assistant Section Officer (ASO) in the Central Secretariat Service (CSS) at level 7, with a posting in Delhi.
After starting work, the graduate shared a screenshot showing an amount of 83,216 rupees credited to his bank account. Initially, he referred to this as his first government salary, but later clarified that it was his second salary. He mentioned that his onboarding took place on July 29, and he received salary for two days on August 25, while the full August salary arrived on September 2. He also noted that various allowances were included in this amount.
His story attracted the attention of SSC candidates. Many candidates asked him questions about his preparation plan, study materials, and exam-taking experience. His story of getting a government job by passing a competitive exam after being rejected on campus was particularly popular among people.
