The construction of twelve new schools has started in Tashkent, designed to accommodate 18 thousand students. This work is planned to be completed within eight months. Additionally, keys to new apartments were handed over to more than forty citizens as part of the renovation program.
The new educational institutions are being built in various districts of Tashkent with the participation of international partners. They are being created based on three different projects, and each can accommodate between 1,500 and 2,000 students.
In total, the project will provide 18 thousand new places for students. The construction work is scheduled to be finished in eight months, and the schools will open for the start of the next academic year.
On the same day, a new residential complex was opened in the 'Yangi Oʻzbekiston' area. More than forty citizens who received housing under the renovation program received the keys to their new apartments.
The Mayor of Tashkent, Shavkat Umurzakov, met with activists from the 67 mahalla of the Yashnobodsky district. During the discussion, appeals regarding infrastructure, healthcare, higher education fees, entrepreneurship, and daily problems were reviewed.
According to information from the mayor's office, more than ten issues were resolved during this meeting.
