A nuclear town designed for 30 thousand residents is being built in the Forish district. According to the plans, 45 percent of the settlement's territory will be occupied by parks and streets.
As reported by Jalol Arashev, the first deputy minister of construction and housing and communal services, in an interview with the 'Uzbekistan 24' channel, a nuclear town based on eco-urbanism principles is being created in the Forish district of Jizzakh region.
The overall concept of the city provides for an area of 200 hectares and is designed for 30 thousand people. It is planned as a model of a modern city equipped with all necessary amenities.
The project includes the placement of social sphere facilities, including schools, kindergartens, private clinics, and higher education institutions. Additionally, the goal has been set to build up to 35 percent of residential buildings using energy-saving technologies.
The first stage of construction of the nuclear town, covering an area of 50 hectares, will begin with the erection of 74 multi-story buildings, which will accommodate 3 thousand apartments and be designed for 10 thousand residents. The creation of separate communication networks for water supply, sewage treatment facilities, and electricity supply across the entire area is also planned.
According to the main scheme, a special plan has been developed to convert 45 percent of the town's territory into green zones, where parks and streets will be organized.
In the next stage of infrastructure development, in 2027, according to the investment plan, construction will begin on a school with 1980 places, a kindergarten, a polyclinic, as well as other social facilities and block roads.
