Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 gains new Kaza Brown color in Brazil

The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 has been updated in the Brazilian market with the addition of the Kaza Brown color to its catalog. This new light shade joins the lineup alongside Mana Black, keeping the motorcycle's base price at R$ 29,990 and is already available at Indian dealerships.

Mechanically, the model remains unchanged. The name Kaza Brown refers to the Kaza region, located in the Himalayas, known for its mountainous and arid landscapes. With this inclusion, the Himalayan 450 now offers six color options: Slate Himalayan Salt, Slate Poppy Blue, Hanle Black, Kamet White, Mana Black, and Kaza Brown.

The motorcycle continues to use the Sherpa 450 platform. Its engine is a 452cc liquid-cooled single cylinder, generating 40.02 hp at 8,000 rpm and 4.07 kgfm of torque at 5,500 rpm. The transmission system features six gears, and the clutch is assisted and sliding, which contributes to a lighter lever and reduces the risk of rear wheel lock-up during abrupt gear reductions.

The Himalayan 450 is equipped with ABS and offers two riding modes, Performance and ECO. In both modes, it is possible to disable the rear ABS, resulting in four distinct configurations. This feature is considered useful on off-road terrain, where the model is a reference, and using brakes without anti-lock can be more beneficial.

According to Royal Enfield, the average fuel consumption of the bike is 28.15 km/l. In the Kaza Brown version, the trail uses tube tires, following the configuration of the entry-level versions. Royal Enfield adds that the introduction of Kaza Brown aims to help the brand achieve a sales record for the model.

Between January and August 2026, 5,023 units of the Himalayan 450 were registered, representing a monthly average close to 628. The brand itself projects that if this pace is maintained, the year could end with around 7,530 units, marking the best annual performance for the model in the country. It is important to note that this number is a company projection and not a finalized result.

Thais Gallo, Sales Manager for Royal Enfield Brazil, commented on the scenario, stating: 'We have a product with sustainable growth and strengthening of public preference confirmed by the numbers.' The Himalayan 450 dominates the 'maxtrail' segment, or mid-displacement adventure, on its own. The brand also points out that the bike surpasses conventional trails, including models with higher displacement and higher categories.

Gabriel Patini, Executive Director of Royal Enfield for Latin America, expressed optimism, indicating that the results show that 'the growth story of the Himalayan 450 is just beginning.' However, he stressed that the projected record for 2026 will depend on maintaining the sales pace in the last four months of the year.
