Fields are being created in the Tashkent region for growing aronia in the Verkhniy Chirchik area.
Students of Tashkent State Agrarian University, with the help of a professor from the department of the faculty of genetics, selection and seed production of agricultural crops, Muhammadaziz Fakhriddinov, are conducting scientific research on the cultivation of this plant.
State awards were presented to teachers, scientists, coaches, and other employees engaged in the education sector in Uzbekistan. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the relevant decree, noting their significant contribution to the development of the education and upbringing system.
Honorary titles, orders, and medals were awarded to representatives of educational institutions—schools, universities, and technical colleges—as well as scientific institutions and organizations working in this field. Among the awardees were specialists who participated in implementing international practices, digital technologies, and modern teaching methods, as well as in the implementation of educational reforms.
Two teachers received the title 'People's Teacher of the Republic of Uzbekistan.' These are Ergash Saidov, a primary school teacher from School No. 6 in Denau district of Surkhandarya region, and Azimbay Saparpayev, a mathematics teacher from School No. 36 in Amudarya district of Karakalpakstan.
Additionally, two educators were honored with the title 'Honored Worker of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan.' The title 'Honored Mentor of Youth' was also awarded to Ismatulla Raimov, chairman of the public council of School No. 1 in Zaamin district of Jizzakh region, and Ahmadjon Soleev, first vice-rector of Samarkand State University.
State awards were also given to people from the fields of science, sports, and culture, as well as specialists in preschool and special education. Among the awardees were employees of the Academy of Sciences, teachers of schools and universities, coaches, heads of educational structures, and specialists in inclusive education.
Among those who received awards were foreign specialists who participated in Uzbekistan's educational projects. For example, Angela Papenburg, a member of the board of directors of the German company GP Günter Papenburg AG, was recognized with the 'Friendship' Order; Kangu Bhavani Santosh Kumari, an expert on attracting foreign personnel for the Ministry of Preschool and School Education; and Matthias Klingenberg, head of the GIZ project supporting the reform of vocational education.
Furthermore, representatives of private educational institutions, textbook authors, young scientists, and specialists working on the digitalization of the educational process were awarded orders and medals.
The official decree emphasizes that the awards were presented for contributions to increasing the effectiveness of reforms in the education sector, implementing advanced world experience and innovative pedagogical and digital technologies, as well as for training highly qualified personnel and educating the younger generation.
Today, in the city of Tashkent, a solemn ceremony to induct students admitted to the first year of Tashkent State Medical University will take place at the magnificent 'Friendship of Peoples' palace. This day is also celebrated as Teacher and Mentor Day, which falls on October 1st.
As part of the festive event, people who have dedicated themselves to this field, professors, and new university students will gather, providing the youth with unforgettable moments.
