RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat emphasized that four fundamental pillars of Dharma are necessary to achieve national progress, speaking at an event in Maharashtra. He noted that the concept of Dharma extends beyond simple rituals or personal habits.
According to Bhagwat, ancient texts indicate that Dharma rests on four supports: the first is Truth, the second is Compassion, the third is Asceticism, and the fourth is the purity of thought and action, both internal and external.
On Tuesday, Mohan Bhagwat highlighted that sustainable national growth must be based on these four key principles of Dharma: Truth (Satya), Compassion (Karuna), Asceticism (Tapascharya), and Purity (Antarbahya Pavitrata), which is reflected in the philosophy of Pandit Dindayal Upadhyaya's Integral Humanism.
He also spoke about self-sacrifice, noting that life is intended not only for one person but for everyone. Bhagwat observed that if a person renounces or sacrifices something for the betterment of others' lives, nothing is lost; on the contrary, the joy from such giving multiplies a thousandfold.
