The national oil company of Azerbaijan, SOCAR, is studying the potential of directing diesel fuel from Uzbekistan to the global market via the Port of Kulevi in Georgia.
This was reported by Tuğrul Köçerli, head of the international business development department at 'SOCAR Trading'.
A significant step has been taken in the Muborak district towards ensuring residents have access to high-quality and stable drinking water. The central water treatment plant, which was reconstructed according to modern requirements, has been put into operation.
The event dedicated to the commissioning of the facility was attended by the governor of Kashkadarya province, representatives of JSC 'Kashkadarya Water Supply', industry specialists, and a wide range of public representatives.
A delegation from Uzbekhydroenergo visited Korea to study the experience in the field of hydropower. Over the past decade, the country has implemented successive reforms in the hydropower sector and realized large investment projects using modern technologies.
As a result of these efforts, the number of hydroelectric power plants increased from 36 to 106, and the total capacity of the hydropower sector reached 2.5 GW.
