A solemn event was held in Tashkent to award winners of the republican competitions 'Best Idea,' 'Best Project,' and 'Best Invention' in the field of engineering sciences. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation.
As part of the ceremony, nine participants who took first place in three competitions were presented with BYD Chazor cars. Participants who placed second and third received monetary awards.
Among the laureates of the competition were scientists and engineers from the Almalyk State Technical Institute. In the 'Best Invention' category among professors and lecturers, the first place was taken by the development of a technology for extracting manganese and iron from steel slags.
This development has been implemented at several enterprises both in Uzbekistan and abroad, including the company 'DEMIR GROUP' from Turkey. Additionally, works aimed at optimizing manganese extraction processes using artificial intelligence, as well as increasing the service life of crushers, were presented.
Another project by representatives of the institute took third place in the 'Best Invention' category among practicing engineers. The 'Engineers of the Future' competition is organized with the aim of identifying, supporting, and implementing promising engineering, scientific and technical, and innovative developments.
