Iranian athlete Ali Amirian won the silver medal in the men's 800-meter race at the 2026 Asian Games on Tuesday.
He finished with a time of 1:45.10 at the Paloma Mizuho sports venue in Nagoya, Japan. The gold medal was won by Japanese athlete Ko Ochiai, who clocked a time of 1:44.48, and bronze was received by Abubakar Abdalla with a time of 1:45.25.
The athletics competitions at the 2026 Asian Games will take place from September 23 to 29 in two locations in Nagoya. A total of 50 medal disciplines are planned, divided into three categories: track and field running, road running, and racing.
