Working abroad extends beyond purely professional duties; the culture, work methods, and interaction with colleagues can bring a completely different experience. A video appeared on social media featuring an Indian woman sharing her impressions of her manager's behavior in South Korea.
She recounted that her manager often shows care for employees by regularly bringing them coffee or food.
Sharing the video, the woman spoke about a recent meeting that she and the entire team had to attend at the headquarters. The trip took about two hours, meaning lunchtime had already passed. When lunch usually starts at 12:00, on that day it was already around 12:30. At that time, the company director asked the team about their lunch plans.
Initially, it was planned for everyone to go out to lunch together. However, since the Indian woman is a vegetarian and some of her colleagues eat meat, the plan for a joint lunch had to be adjusted.
The woman stated in the video that after canceling the group lunch plan, given the delay, the director provided money for food to everyone present. She emphasized that the manager made sure to accommodate her vegetarianism and the various preferences of the other employees, allowing everyone to choose food according to their taste.
The Indian woman also noted that this was not the first instance where her manager had shown such care for the staff. According to her, the director regularly brings either coffee or some snacks to the office. She described this behavior as an excellent work experience because the office atmosphere and the director's demeanor greatly influence daily life when working abroad. The woman added that such an attitude creates a feeling that people are treated like human beings.
