Nvidia introduces security tools for AI agents, while OpenAI collaborates with Sachin Tendulkar

While India's payments ecosystem assesses the impact of new UPI pricing, artificial intelligence companies face a different challenge—how to ensure control over autonomous AI agents. Nvidia has released new security tools for such agents, claiming they could prevent a recent hacking attack on Hugging Face. These tools are designed to detect and localize uncontrolled agents before they bypass security systems.

In parallel, there is a growing push in India to make AI more accessible and useful. OpenAI has signed a multi-year partnership agreement with cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar. The campaign aims to demonstrate the practical application of ChatGPT for solving everyday tasks such as writing text, generating ideas, and learning. The company notes that its user base in India has doubled in the last year, and the campaign includes planned collaborations with content creators and interactive content.

The increasing adoption of AI is also opening opportunities for startups. Flipkart Ventures has provided support to AI-focused companies Alive and Keploy, combining financial investment with access to its mentorship, engineering expertise, and broader ecosystem. Alive uses AI to create and distribute curated lifestyle experiences, while Keploy helps developers automate regression testing using real application traffic.

In the financial sector, the Supreme Court has sought responses from the Reserve Bank of India and the Central Bank regarding a petition challenging the new MDR on UPI payments exceeding 2000 rupees. The court denied a temporary injunction, meaning the 0.4% commission on relevant seller transactions will take effect on October 15th. Peer-to-peer payments and transactions falling under exemptions will remain free.

Startup Information

The review also presents various investment events. Startup Amaani received $5 million in Series A funding. Another startup, Balwaan Krishi, raised 100 crore rupees in a Series B round.

Furthermore, IIT Madras Research Park and Unicorn India Ventures launched a fund of 1000 crore rupees to support early-stage deep technology startups. Natarajan Maluppillai, CEO of IIT Madras Research Park, stated that this fund is intended to provide founders with patient capital and more time to focus on building complex technologies.

OpenAI and Sachin Tendulkar Collaborate to Popularize Artificial Intelligence in India

Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has officially entered into a multi-year partnership with OpenAI. The goal of this collaboration is to simplify the concepts of artificial intelligence and demonstrate to ordinary users across India how ChatGPT can be applied in daily life.

This interaction aims to make advanced technologies accessible, focusing on practical and understandable examples of use. Tendulkar noted that his learning often begins with questions, and with ChatGPT, he can ask them, develop ideas, and study topics of interest at his own pace, whether preparing for a speech or learning new material. He hopes this will give more people a starting point to independently test the tool based on what matters to them.

The campaign will launch with a humorous video in which Tendulkar challenges ChatGPT to guess his identity in just ten questions. Further plans include launching interactive content, conducting event campaigns, and joint projects with creators, including videos with tech entrepreneur Varun Maiya.

According to Prabhjit Singh, OpenAI's Managing Director in India, engaging with a figure who resonates with different generations helps bridge the gap between technology and trust. This partnership comes amid a sharp rise in AI adoption in the country. OpenAI reported that the ChatGPT user base in India has doubled in the last year, with most users employing the tool for household tasks, writing, and educational purposes.
