Tenth Day of Asian Games 2026: Medals Expected in Athletics, Shooting, and Boxing

On the tenth day of the Asian Games 2026, Indian athletes continue to actively participate in the competitions. It is expected that there will be many medals in athletics, while in other disciplines, Indian athletes strive to demonstrate outstanding results to improve India's overall medal tally.

On the ninth day of the Asian Games, which took place on September 28, India won four silver and four bronze medals. Silver medals were won by Isha Singh, Gulvir Singh, Murili Srishankar, and Yashvir Singh. Bronze medals were won by Pinky Balhara, Vitya Ramraj, Parul Chaudhary, and Rohit Yadav.

In the wrestling competition held in Kurash, Vipin Kumar from India was eliminated in the first round of men's 66 kg after losing to Hyonsu Yoon with a score of 3:0. Thus, India's participation in wrestling concluded, and the country finished with one bronze medal thanks to Pinky Balhara. It should be noted that India did not win any awards in wrestling in the previous tournament.

Shooting

Shooting competitions are scheduled for the morning: at 5:30 AM, the qualifying round of men's individual .22 rifle shooting (Recurve Men's Individual 1/16 Elimination) will take place between Diraj Bommadevra and Niraj Chauhan against Riau Aga Agata Salsabilly (Indonesia). At 6:10 AM, the qualifying round of men's individual 1/8 rifle shooting will take place (subject to the qualification of Diraj Bommadevra and Niraj Chauhan). At 9:45 AM, the qualifying round of women's individual 1/16 rifle shooting is scheduled between Kirti and Fuong Tao Hoang (Vietnam), as well as Kumkum Mohod against Urantungal Bisindi (Mongolia). At 10:25 AM, the qualifying rounds of women's individual 1/8 rifle shooting will take place (subject to the qualification of Kirti and Kumkum Mohod).

Athletics

Finals are scheduled in athletics: at 2:50 PM, the men's pole vault final will feature Deva Mina and Kuldeep Kumar; at 3:35 PM, the women's high jump final will feature Pooja Singh and Supriya Baswaraju; at 4:05 PM, the women's hammer throw final will feature Tania Chaudhary and Anushka Yadav. The schedule also includes the women's 800 meters race at 4:20 PM featuring Pooja, and the men's 800 meters race at 4:35 PM featuring Mohammed Afsal. The 5000 meters race finals will take place at 4:45 PM featuring Avinash Sable and Gulvir Singh. In the evening, relay finals are also scheduled: mixed 4x100m relay at 5:18 PM, women's 4x400m relay at 5:35 PM (India: Niru Patak, Ansa Babu, Kumari Saloni Nagar, Rashdip Kaur, MR Puvamma), and men's 4x400m relay at 5:47 PM.

Boxing

Semifinals are scheduled in boxing: women's 65 kg class at 10:15 AM between Parvin Hooda and Li Shu (China); men's 80 kg class at 11:00 AM between Ankush Pangal and Fazliddin Erkinboyev (Uzbekistan); and men's +90 kg class at 11:30 AM between Nrendar Berwal and Aibek Orlbe (Kazakhstan).

Canoe Slalom

Canoe slalom competitions will begin in the morning: at 7:00 AM, men's single kayak races (India: Pradyumnan Singh Rathor, Hitesh Kewat); at 7:50 AM, women's single canoe races (India: Pallavi Jagtap, Rina Sen); at 8:47 AM, women's single kayak races (India: Shikha Chauhan).

Kurash

Vipin Kumar's matches are scheduled in Kurash: at 6:24 AM, Round of 16 men's 66 kg; at 8:00 AM, Quarterfinal (subject to qualification); at 10:50 AM, Semifinal (subject to qualification); and at 11:45 AM, Final (subject to qualification).

Bicycle Track

Qualifying and medal races are scheduled in cycling: at 6:30 AM, qualification of the women's team sprint (India: Celestina, Sarrita Kumari, Kirti Rangsamy Chikka); at 6:48 AM, qualification of the men's team sprint (India: Rodjit Singh Yangam, David Beckham, Elkathong, Ronaldo Singh Latondjam, Jemash Singh Kitelkapm). At 7:12 AM, qualification of the women's pursuit team (India: Harshita Jakhar, Swasti Singh, Menaxi, Pooja Baban Danole). Further on the schedule: at 11:30 AM, first round of women's team sprint (subject to qualification); at 11:42 AM, first round of men's team sprint (subject to qualification); at 11:54 AM, first round of women's pursuit team (subject to qualification). Starts are scheduled in sailing: at 7:30 AM, junior mixed dinghy series (India: Shraddha Verma, Ravindra Kumar Sharma) and men's skiff series (India: Manu Francis, Prince Noble); at 7:35 AM, women's skiff series (India: Harshita Tomar, Shital Verma); at 7:40 AM, women's dinghy series (India: Mahi Verma).
