Due to the threat of insufficient rainfall in the upcoming sowing season, the Central Government discussed contingency measures on Monday aimed at minimizing the negative impact on winter crops (Rabi). Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan called for data-driven planning, strengthening cooperation between the center and states, weekly crop monitoring, rational use of fertilizers, and water balance composition.
