A massive machine for a biopolymer plant, shipped from Belgium, is traveling to Lakhimur on a giant 308-wheel truck. This colossal transport is currently located in Chandawli, in the Pandit Dindyal Upadhyaya Nagar area, on the National Highway 19 ring road in Uttar Pradesh state, and has been stationary for three days.
Due to narrow passages and width and height restrictions for the machine's passage, a new route is being created using excavators. This huge truck, which departed from Paradeep port in Odisha, passed through Jharkhand and Bihar to reach Chandawli, attracting a large number of curious onlookers.
It is worth noting that this oversized machine for the biopolymer plant was shipped by sea from Belgium in April and arrived at Paradeep port in Odisha in May. After that, it required over a month for documentation processing and obtaining necessary permits. It was then loaded onto the 308-wheel giant truck and headed along secondary roads to Lakhimur.
As it navigated routes further from Odisha, the truck passed through Jharkhand and Bihar before entering Uttar Pradesh. Numerous obstacles arose along the way, such as width, height, bridge, and narrow road restrictions. Some obstacles were overcome by creating new passages with excavators, while others were cleared by crane after dismantling poles and wires. The truck continues its journey to the destination, overcoming all obstacles after receiving permissions from relevant departments and authorities. It is expected to reach Lakhimur within the next two to three weeks.
This giant mechanism left Belgium by sea last April. After a month-long voyage, it reached Paradeep port in Odisha. Two months prior to that, it was routed towards the Kumbhi sugar factory in Balramure, Lakhimur. Passing through Jharkhand and Bihar, the truck reached Chandawli.
The truck stopped on the ring road near Pandit Dindyal Upadhyaya Nagar in Chandawli because no clear passage could be found. Logistics team manager, Aneek Bharti, reported that significant obstacles related to height and width are occurring along the route, which are being resolved with permission from the relevant departments. The truck is expected to arrive in Lakhimur within the next two to three weeks.
As soon as the truck stopped, a crowd gathered to watch it and take selfies. People continue to flock here after it went viral on social media. Abdul Waris from Durgawati Bihar and local resident Nilam said they had never seen such a large truck or such a big machine.
Even marine engineer Sanjay Yadav from a neighboring village came to see this mighty truck. He noted that he had seen larger cargo on ships, but watching such a huge object being transported by road after a sea journey was a very pleasant and exciting experience.
