Castor oil is traditionally valued as an effective remedy for strengthening, thickening, and lengthening hair. It is also beneficial for moisturizing eyebrows, eyelashes, and skin. Therefore, there is no need to purchase expensive oil from the store. You can prepare 100% pure, thick, and uncontaminated castor oil yourself using castor plant seeds with minimal cost. Below is a simple and traditional method for extracting castor oil at home.

The following ingredients are required for preparation: 250 grams of dried castor seeds, 1-2 cups of water, and a piece of cotton or muslin cloth for straining.

The first step is to remove the hard outer shell from the dried castor seeds to obtain the inner white pulp. This pulp must then be ground in a blender or mortar, without adding water, until it reaches a fine crumb or paste consistency.

Place the resulting seed paste into a heavy pot along with about two cups of water and place it over medium heat. The mixture must be stirred constantly while it boils. Gradually, the water will evaporate as steam, and the natural oil will begin to float to the surface of the seeds.

When most of the water has completely evaporated, leaving a thick, creamy substance of oil and seeds, reduce the heat to prevent the oil from burning. After this, let the mixture cool slightly. Then, using the cotton cloth, squeeze and strain this mass into a clean container.

The finished 100% pure, thick, and organic castor oil should be stored in a clean glass bottle.

For hair: Since castor oil is very thick, it is recommended to mix it with coconut or almond oil, warm it up, and then massage it into the scalp. For eyelashes and eyebrows: Before going to bed, apply the oil to your eyelashes and eyebrows using a cotton swab; this helps them thicken and darken.
