Representatives of the Tashkent City Department of Digital Development held a meeting to discuss potential cooperation with the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) and companies registered within it. This meeting took place on September 25 as part of the ICT WEEK Uzbekistan 2026 event.
Discussion of International Experience and Projects
Representatives from HKSTP, along with the companies Showmac, eSIX, and Cogniser, participated in the negotiations. The parties discussed international experience in applying solutions based on artificial intelligence and digital technologies. Furthermore, they examined the possibilities of adapting smart city technologies to Tashkent's conditions and the prospects for joint projects.
Companies from Hong Kong presented their technological developments. For example, eSIX demonstrated solutions for ensuring continuous and secure communication, which combine 4G and 5G networks with fiber optic and satellite technologies. These systems are intended for use in transport, video surveillance, public utilities, and other urban infrastructure.
Cogniser presented artificial intelligence-based solutions designed for managing urban systems, ensuring security, education, and industrial monitoring. Showmac, on the other hand, showcased intelligent devices and educational products that combine AI, information and communication technologies, and telecommunication technologies.
Particular attention was paid to the possibilities of integrating the presented technologies into Tashkent's existing digital management systems, as well as into transport and urban infrastructure, education, security, and monitoring systems. It is planned that promising solutions will first undergo pilot testing, and after evaluating the results, the possibility of wider implementation in relevant areas of urban infrastructure may be considered.
