Uzbekistan U-16 national team drew 4-4 with Kazakhstan U-17 team

In the first match under the head coach Aidar Kurbaev, the Uzbekistan U-16 youth national team drew 4-4 with the Kazakhstan U-17 team.

First Match

Goals for Uzbekistan were scored by Faiz Achilov, Abdullokh Kholmamatov, and Bekhruz Samatov; another goal was scored due to a mistake by Akhilboev.

The starting lineup for Uzbekistan included Aziz Berdiev, Azizillo Erkinjonov, Abdulaziz Bobirov, Usmon Shukhratilaev, Yahyo Bakhtiyarov, Rozimurad Rozimuradov, Husan Uralov, Abubakr Mamatov, Hasan Uralov, Faiz Achilov, and Abdullokh Kholmamatov.

During the game, Bahriddinov, Odilov, Uktamov, Akbaraliyev, Turakulov, Uskanboyev, Andreev, Samatov, and Bakhadyrov came on as substitutes. Ayupov, Abdurahimov, and Shukurov remained on the bench.

Uzbekistan to face Kazakhstan at the debut FIFA U-15 World Cup 2026

The national football team of Uzbekistan in the U-15 youth category has learned its opponents in the group stage of the first FIFA U-15 World Cup Festival 2026, which will be held in Azerbaijan.

Uzbekistan has been placed in Group W along with teams from Kazakhstan, The Bahamas, Ghana, Guam, and Myanmar.

The competitions will take place in Baku from October 22 to 31 of this year. Youth national teams from 191 countries will participate in the tournament, divided into 32 groups.

Group Stage Format

The group stage is scheduled for October 24 to 26. The competition format is designed for high intensity: each team must play five matches in three days, with some days featuring two matches per team.

To advance to the playoffs, the youth team of Uzbekistan must secure a position higher than its opponents from Kazakhstan, The Bahamas, Ghana, Guam, and Myanmar within the group.

Organizers describe the upcoming FIFA U-15 World Cup Festival 2026 as a historic and experimental FIFA tournament, marking the first World Cup in this format for footballers of this age category.

Uzbekistan U-23 National Team Reaches Quarterfinals of Asian Games

The Uzbekistan U-23 national team secured a spot in the quarterfinals of the 20th Asian Summer Games after defeating Kuwait 2:0 in the second round of the group stage.

The match result was officially announced by the Football Federation of Uzbekistan. The game took place at the CS Asset Minato Soccer Stadium in Nagoya, Japan.

Both goals scored by the Uzbekistan team were scored by Sardor Bahromov. After two rounds, the Uzbekistan national team accumulated six points and guaranteed its participation in the tournament's quarterfinals, with one more group stage match remaining.

In the final group stage match, Uzbekistan will face Vietnam on September 22nd. A total of 15 teams participate in the men's football tournament of the Asian Games, divided into four groups: three groups consist of four teams, and one group includes three teams.
