According to data from the Tashkent Customs Committee, between January and August 2026, Uzbekistan imported 3.26 million mobile phones for a total of 653.5 million US dollars.
The number of imported devices increased by 527,200 units, which represents a growth of 19.2% compared to the same period last year. The average cost of one imported phone this year reached approximately 200 US dollars.
For comparison, in the first eight months of 2025, Uzbekistan imported 2.73 million mobile devices for a total of 305.7 million US dollars, with the average device price being 111.7 US dollars. Thus, the average annual cost of mobile phone imports increased by 88.3 US dollars, or 79% year-on-year.
China remains the largest supplier of mobile phones to Uzbekistan. Additionally, devices are also imported from Vietnam, India, South Korea, and other countries.
