At the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya 2026, Uzbekistan won a second gold medal, which was secured by Shohsanam Sherzodova in women's single canoe over 200 meters.
In addition to Sherzodova's gold medal, Uzbek athletes earned six other awards in rowing and canoeing competitions.
Rowing Results
In rowing, Shahboz Kholmurzaev took second place in the men's single scull M1x, winning a silver medal. Another silver medal in the men's double scull M2x was obtained by Mehroy Mamatkulov and Pavel Sorin, who covered the distance in 6:10.49, finishing in second place.
In the M2 class, Maxim Golubev and Alisher Turdiev won bronze medals, completing the distance in 6:32.34.
Silver medals in women's rowing went to Anna Aksenova, Maria Sergeyeva, Raikhona Sattorova, and Aidane Smetullaeva, who took second place in the W4- class.
Canoeing Results
In women's canoeing over 500 meters, Arina Tanatmisheva and Ekaterina Shubina took third place, receiving bronze medals. Another silver medal for Uzbekistan was won by canoeists Artur Guliyev and Vladlen Denisov, who finished second in the 500-meter distance.
Thus, Uzbek athletes collectively won one gold, three silver, and three bronze medals in these disciplines.
